Paducah Part 2

After visiting all of the places around town and returning to the National Quilt Museum (our bus pick up point), someone said that Paper Pieces had a booth inside the museum lobby.

Here is what I saw.   This was a quilt made for Judie Rothermel's 25th anniversary.

This was behind the lady doing paper piecing demos at the booth.

There were paper piecing projects everywhere.

This was on the table in the booth.  Look at the plastic container of paper piecing and the stack of stars on the corner of the table.

This quilt was being used as a table cloth on the demo table.

There are quilters everywhere.

This is the food tent in front of the expo center where the quilt show is held.

Another food cart.

Even the red bull had a quilt on him.

More tomorrow.   I'll show you the quilts from the Paducah Rotary antique hexagon exhibit.

Thanks for stopping by for a visit!

  2. I didn't realize that Paper Pieces was going to have a display at the Museum ... I was pleasantly surprised to see them when I came out (I must have missed it when I went in). It sure seemed like they took advantage of their new home and were quite involved in Quilt Week.

  3. I cannot believe all of this interest in English paper piecing, which I was doing 45 years ago! (I am showing my age!)

Indeed, when American piecing became popular you never, ever admitted to EPP because it was considered too "old hat" - ah well, what turns around, comes around - back to my 45 year old uncompleted EPP church windows with diamonds quilt top!

Have enjoyed your reports LuAnn hopefully one day I will get to visit Paducah during the show.
